Gynecologic oncology: a co-responsibility in health care for women

Abstract

Palavras-chave: Saúde. Saúde da mulher. Integralidade em saúde. Considered as a public health problem, gynecological cancer has a high incidence of new cases and deaths among Brazilian women, as access to health care is still tortuous in Brazil (long queues, delay in obtaining test results, etc.). Given these impediments to full health care for women, we discuss the need of the State, society and health professionals, with public and direct assistance to women, to assume co-responsibility regarding proper care of health needs.
