Gut bacteria impact host uric acid burden and its association with atherosclerosis

Abstract: Humans with metabolic and inflammatory diseases, including atherosclerosis harbor dysbiotic gut communities. However, the microbes and microbial pathways that influence disease progression remain largely undefined.
