Discharge and channel geometry control velocity and bed shear stress within a reach.Channel roughness (e.g., riffles, pools) and ice cover in winter moderates velocity and shear stress at the bed. This study evaluated velocity profiles across a channel segment with variable bed roughness (e.g., riffles, pools) to determine changes in the position of maximum velocity, maximum velocity magnitude, and resulting bed shear stress estimates when ice cover was present. Using acoustic doppler velocimeter (ADV) and acoustic doppler current profiler (ADCP) high resolution velocity profiles were collected during ice cover, open water, and open water with significant increases in vegetation cover through a riffle-pool sequence in a low-order channel in southern Ontario Canada in the first half of 2021. Key findings were that in five of the seven cross-sections, flow direction was significantly different when ice was present. Additionally, maximum velocities were closer to the bed during ice cover, a common finding in modelling and experimental work, and is confirmed in this field setting. Although maximum velocity magnitudes were not significantly different, derived bed shear stress values under ice were larger. Specifically, under ice conditions, riffle bed shear stress ranged 0-16 N/m 2 compared to 0-9 N/m 2 in ice free conditions. GPS RTK merupakan bagian dari tipe Differential GPS (DGPS) yang mempunyai prinsip data akuisisi lapangan dilakukan koreksi terhadap stasiun acuan (reference) atau jaringan. Pemanfaatan DGPS untuk pembuatan peta mikro topografi telah dilakukan oleh beberapa peneliti. Di perkebunan kelapa sawit, beberapa kewajiban memiliki peta topografi skala detil adalah pada pengelolaan lahan gambut. Ketersediaan titik reference dari Badan Informasi Geospasial sebanyak 7.326 titik yang tersebar di seluruh wilayah Indonesia, namun masih terbatas terutama pada areal-areal remote seperti perkebunan kelapa sawit. Penentuan titik reference dengan metode static merupakan cara yang efisien dan relatif mudah dilakukan. Peraturan Kepala Badan Informasi Geospasial (BIG) No. 15 tahun 2013 tentang Sistem Referensi Geospasial Indonesia 2013 menjelaskan ketinggian geoid menjadi sistem referensi vertikal nasional. Pengukuran dengan GPS merupakan ketinggian ellipsoid, sehingga perlu dilakukan penghitungan. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk melakukan penghitungan ketinggian geoid secara online di BIG dan UNAVCO. Hasil penghitungan menunjukkan ketinggian geoid dari BIG mempunyai selisih sekitar 0.604 meter dengan metode non cubic (bilinear) dan 2.922 meter dengan metode interpolasi cubic. Pengitungan ketinggian geoid dari BIG mempunyai tingkat ketelitian sebesar 17.3 cm atau setara dengan skala peta 1:5000.

Ionospheric scintillation is one of the most challenging problems in Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) positioning and navigation. Scintillation occurrence can not only lead to an increase in the probability of losing the GNSS signal lock but also reduce the precision of the pseudorange and carrier phase measurements, thus leading to positioning accuracy degradation. Statistical models developed to estimate the probability of loss of lock and Geometric Dilution of Precision normalized 3D positioning errors as a function of scintillation levels are presented. The models were developed following the statistical approach of nonlinear regression on data recorded by Ionospheric Scintillation Monitoring Receivers operational at high and low latitudes. The validation of the probability of loss of lock models indicated average correlation coefficient values above 0.7 and average Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) values below 0.35. The validation of the positioning error models indicated average RMSE values below 10 cm. The good performance of the developed models indicates that these can provide GNSS users with information on the satellite loss of lock probability and the error in the 3D position under scintillation.
