Abstract: The spiritual value attributed to death, by the guardians of the heart of the world in Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Colombia, as in other indigenous cultures, integrates a social, physical, ethical, ecological, and emotional preparation to make a healthy accompaniment to life after death.
