GRUPOS COMUNITÁRIOS DE SAÚDE MENTAL: Grupos operativos, protagonismo e valorização à vida

Abstract

The Community Mental Health Group (GCSM) constitutes a group space for mental health care in which people learn to look at and value the experiences of everyday life. This research sought to analyze the theoretical aspects that constitute it with the aim of highlighting important characteristics for the promotion of mental health, such as: valuing life, protagonism and the group task of meetings that make it possible to share them. This is a qualitative bibliographic review using the databases Periodicals CAPES, SciELO, Redalyc, as well as other scientific literature in the area. Through the references raised and the structure proposed by the operative groups and the protagonism present in this context, it was observed that the attitude that prioritizes the appreciation of life through the person's relationship with their daily experiences and an attitude of availability to share them In a group relationship, fundamental aspects learned throughout participation in group meetings are constituted, allowing it to be significant for the development of the individual by opening space for a more humanized view of oneself and others.The Community Mental Health Group constitutes a important methodology for promoting mental health and contributes in a complementary way to psychological and psychiatric treatments, varying existing mental health care programs.
