This journal is entitled “Conceptual Metaphor of Anger Emotion in Grunge Musician’s Song Lyrics”. The objective of this study is to analyze and describe conceptual metaphors of anger emotion that Grunge Musicians used in their song lyrics and to analyze and describe the image schema formed in conceptual metaphor of anger emotion. The data are taken from the lyrics of grunge musicians based on the Rolling stones magazine about the best grunge musicians all the time. The research uses a qualitative method since the data collected are in the form of words rather than numbers and it is conducted based on the conceptual metaphor theory and emotion concept theory from cognitive semantics study. The result of this research shows that the conceptual metaphor of anger emotion mostly used by grunge musicians are ANGER IS FIRE, ANGER IS AN OPPENENT IN A STRUGGLE, ANGER IS A NATURAL FORCE, and ANGER IS A HOT FLUID IN CONTAINER. The image schema that found in conceptual metaphor of anger emotion is FORCE SCHEMA and CONTAINMENT SCHEMA.

Article I showed up to The Gathering Place today a little before 1:00 p.m. when Paul 1 and I had agreed to meet so I could give him a guitar lesson. As usual, I took the access ramp alongside the house to the back porch where I found a few members of the organization sitting around the picnic table smoking cigarettes and engaged in conversation. I set my acoustic bass guitar down, and one of the members, Donald, asked what was in the case. After telling him it was a bass guitar, he asked if I played the six-string, to which I replied that I do and that I was, in fact, there to give Paul a lesson. With this revelation, he asked if I would be willing to give him guitar lessons as well. I replied that I could and we hammered out a time for us to sit down together and do this lesson. He concluded our interaction with a smile and this statement, "I've been looking for another way to express myself." (

Academics are increasingly devoting attention to understanding, categorising and appraising the concept of nostalgia. However, "there is surprisingly little attempt to discuss the modes of representation involved in the communication of nostalgia," particularly in relation to the mass media (Pickering and Keightley, 2006: 930). his paper addresses this deicit by examining the memory work conducted on Manchester post-punk band Joy Division. Since the mid-2000s there has been a surge of material related to the band, including movies, documentaries, autobiographies and other books, as well as ambitious marketing campaigns associated with re-released songs. his paper assesses the extent to which this material can be considered nostalgic and the orders of nostalgia it conveys. We suggest that much of the material produced by "witnesses" present in the 1970s can be understood as contestation over authority to speak, rather than relecting a nostalgic "mood". Some of the new material exhibits a nostalgic "mode" where styles from the past are drawn on to increase the band's audience. Collectively, these eforts form the basis for the "ersatz nostalgia" of those could not witness Joy Division. Exploring the relationship between nostalgia and authoritative witnesses provides greater insight into how popular culture (re)creates its own past.
