Growth of Magnetic Materials using Molecular Beam Epitaxy

Abstract: A wide variety of magnetic materials and devices have been prepared by molecular beam epitaxy (MBE). The accurate growth of multilayers and superlattices involving magnetic phases has made possible experiments that have uncovered how magnetic order propagates at interfaces. This has uncovered new physical effects and made possible the study of new devices assembled with atomic accuracy.
