Growth and Development of Hardy and Nonhardy Wheat Varieties (Triticum aestivum L.) at Near‐freezing Temperatures1

Abstract: Brevor and Lemhi wheat varieties (Triticum aestivum L.) were examined for growth and/or development during the winter months of 1968‐69. This activity was compared to the temperature environments of the air, plants, and soil, and to existing snow cover. Particular interest was given to processes occurring at near‐freezing temperatures.
