Growing Regions through Smart Specialisation: A Methodology for Modelling the Economic Impact of a Food Processing Hub in Australia

Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to examine the positive impact that the creation of food processing hubs can have on “smart specialisation” on the economic development of regional Australia. The analysis looks at two existing developments in Australia, as well as providing an economic evaluation of another “regional hub” that is currently being proposed.
