Poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) is a promising piezoelectric and pyroelectric material for energy harvesting applications. This paper investigates the electrical outputs of PVDF microarrays using both simulation studies and theoretical calculations. The finite element method in COMSOL Multiphysics® is utilized to model PVDF microarrays and simulate their responses under mechanical loading and temperature changes. Theoretical calculations are also performed to estimate the piezoelectric and pyroelectric voltage outputs using established mathematical formulas. A series of PVDF microarrays are modeled in two dimensions with defined geometry, materials, boundary conditions, and parametric sweeps of wind speed and temperature. The simulation results for electrical outputs show good agreement with the theoretical calculations, demonstrating the validity of both approaches. The maximum voltage outputs are on the order of 10−3 V for the range of wind speeds from 6.5 to 11 m/s and temperatures from 319.3 to 336.3 K. In addition, the mechanical and thermal sensitivities are quantified. This work provides a framework for design and optimization of PVDF‐based energy harvesters. The combined methodology enables characterization of the relationships between operational conditions, PVDF microarray properties, and electrical outputs.

CFD modeling of an innovative wave energy device has been carried out in this study. OpenFoam wave modeling solver interFoam has been employed in order to investigate the energy extraction capability of the wave energy device. The innovative concept is based on utilizing the pressure differential under the crest and trough of a wave to drive flow through a pipe. The simulated surface elevation of a wave has been validated against the reported wave tank experimental data in order to provide confidence in the modeling outcome. Further, simulations have been carried out with the device placed near to the bottom of the numerical wave tank in order establish the energy extraction potential. The simulation results confirm that effective power can be generated from the wave energy device. The efficiency of the device decreases with the increase in wave height, although it increases with the wave period. Higher power-take off (PTO) damping is also beneficial in extracting increased energy from waves.

The computational fluid dynamic (CFD) is an influential method for measuring Heat transfer profiles for typical meteorological years. CFD codes are managed by numerical algorithms that may undertake fluid glide headaches. CFD offers the numerical results of partial differential equations with main airflow and heat transfer in a discretized association. The complex fluid glide and the warmth transfer publications worried in any heat exchanger can be determined with the help of the CFD software program (Ansys Fluent). A study states and framework which implicitly rely on the computational fluid dynamics, which is being formulated for computing the efficiency-related parameters of the thermal part and the capability of the EATHE system for cooling. A CFD simulation program is being used for modeling the system. The framework is being validated with the help of the simulation set-up. A thermal model was developed to analyze thermal energy accumulated in soil/ground for the purpose of room cooling/heating of buildings in the desert (hot and dry) climate of the Bikaner region. In this study, the optimization of EATHE design has been performed for finding the thermal performance of straight, spiral, and helical pipe earth air tunnel heat exchanger and Heat transfer rate for helical pipe was found maximum among all designs.
