An African proverb says it takes a village to raise a child. Writing a thesis also requires a lot of support and help. I would like to take the opportunity to thank all the people that made this thesis possible. First and foremost, I want to thank my supervisors, Peter Cronemyr and Maria Huge-Brodin. Thank you, Peter, for all the supervising meetings and for always inspiring me to become a better researcher. I have to specially thank you for the meetings you started with a taste of your music, I have actually started to like metal. Maria, thank you for all the times you agreed to my "just two minutes for a question" and for challenging me with your questions. I honestly believe they help me flourish as a researcher. You both have encouraged and guided me in every step of the way and for that I will be forever grateful.
