Green synthesis of MgO nanoparticles using Moringa oleifera leaf aqueous extract for antibacterial activity

Abstract: Nanoparticle fabrication using plant extracts is an important alternative method because it is non-toxic, biocompatible, and environmentally friendly. In this study, green synthesis of MgO nanoparticles using Moringa oleifera leaf water extracts was conducted by mixing the extract and a solution of magnesium chloride. The product was characterized using different techniques, i.e. UV-Visible (UV-Vis) spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and Fourier transform infrared spectro… Show more

“…The maximum value (Pb+2) that is allowed in drinking water has been set by the World Health Organization (Pb+2) of 0.01 mg / liter, as well as the US Environmental Protection Agency for drinking water USEPA. Exceeding the prescribed limit leads to harmful effects on the human body, as it causes disturbances in the nervous system, digestive system and anemia, in addition to affecting the functions of the liver, kidneys and reproductive system, and also leads to delayed growth, low intelligence and mental retardation in children under six years of age [4].…”
