Abstract:Telechelic poly(3-glycidoxypropyltrimetho¬xysilane) (PGPTMS) with acetate and methacrylate end groups was successfully synthesized by an efficient and solvent-free approach, with anhydrides (acetic anhydride (AA) and methacrylic anhydride (MA)), by cationic ring-opening polymerization of 3 glycidoxypropyl¬trimetho-xysilane (GPTMS), using an ecologic solid catalyst Maghnite-H+ (Mag-H+), instead of electrophilic catalysts, such as, Bronsted and Lewis acids which are very noxious and corrosive.
