Effective landscape management could have an impact on the regional economy, but to do this, the framework for analyzing and assessing the impact of landscape on different economic sectors and regions in a country needs to be outlined. Opportunities should be sought to provide new tools through which the government and non-governmental sectors can develop effective strategies. On the other hand, the public sector could be modernized organizationally and at the same time collective actions with the private and NGO sectors could be planned and implemented to improve public policy and identify effective forms of public intervention in lagging regions in Bulgaria. This study will attempt to integrate different approaches in order to carry out a comprehensive study of the level of valorization of landscapes, as well as to highlight the problems and prospects for the development of the lagging regions in Bulgaria, and at the same time to identify the field of economic impact, which can be justified through the application of new strategic concepts to enhance regional economic growth in the context of the country's membership in the European Union. There is a definite need to present a justifiable new governance model that will help to build viable and more efficient local economies through valorization of the landscape and increasing the incomes of the local population through targeted programs and impact measures.
