Green Nanocomposites for Energy Storage

Abstract: The green nanocomposites have elite features of sustainable polymers and eco-friendly nanofillers. The green or eco-friendly nanomaterials are low cost, lightweight, eco-friendly, and highly competent for the range of energy applications. This article initially expresses the notions of eco-polymers, eco-nanofillers, and green nanocomposites. Afterward, the energy-related applications of the green nanocomposites have been specified. The green nanocomposites have been used in various energy devices such as solar… Show more

“…There are many types of conducting polymers that have the ability to conduct electrical current. These conducting polymers generally are classified into three principal groups: ionic conducting polymers [51][52][53], intrinsically conducting polymers (ICPs), which also are known as synthetic metals [54][55][56] and conducting polymer composites [57][58][59][60].…”

“…Polymers containing nanoparticles or nanoscale structures such as nanotubes, nanowires, nanospheres, and nanosheets have been found to show a drastic change in their several unique and desirable properties in comparison to their (polymers without containing the nanostructures) original properties, which make the polymers perfect for their perfect usage in various applications. [10][11][12] PNCs are materials in which nanosized inorganic or organic elements or particles, such as SnO 2 , CeO 2 , TiO 2 , CuO, and ZnO nanoparticles, carbon nanotubes, and various functionalized graphene sheets, are disseminated in a polymer matrix. Due to the proper dispersion of fillers in the polymers, the resultant PNCs are characterized by their nanoscale dimensions.…”
