Abstract:We study the so-called Gravitational Wave luminosity distance-redshift relation d GW L (z) during cosmological eras driven by non-perfect fluids. In particular, we show that the presence of a shear viscosity in the energy momentum tensor turns out to be the most relevant effect. Within this scenario, a constant shear viscosity imprints the gravitational wave propagation through a friction term δ(z) with a uniquely given redshift dependence. This peculiar evolution predicts a specific shape for the ratio d GW L… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
