Grave Robbery in Early Mediaeval Frankish Laws

Abstract: Almost all German codices – except for Lex Saxonum, Lex Thuringorum, and Ewa Chamavorum – extensively discuss legal protection of the grave and the dead body and sanction persons who disgrace them.
