Graphical Representation Reliability of Experimental Data Concerning to Structural and Surface Properties of Substances

Abstract: Using experimental data on the pore distribution of a sample of magnesium-aluminum layered double hydroxide, various variants of their graphical representation are analyzed. It is shown that graphical interpretation of the obtained data in the coordinates dV/dD – D (dV/dlog(D) – D) or V – D is not of practical (scientific) interest and may lead to incorrect conclusions about the predominance of pores of a certain diameter in the sample and other errors.
