Graphene Oxide Silver Cellulose Alginate for Antibacterial

Abstract: A novel approach for the synthesis of graphene oxide silver alginate has been developed for the antibacterial performance. Graphene oxide (GO) was used as a supporting material towards formation of silver nanoparticle (AgNPs) by a rapid microwave irradiation on mixture of GO and silver complexes and layered on alginate film. The obtained nanocomposite were characterized by using Ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy (UV-Vis), Xray diffraction (XRD) to confirm the formation of GOAgAlginate. The surface morphological… Show more

“…A single band GO adsorption peak can be observed, which was centred at 220 nm as depicted by the dashed red line. This band value indicates the 𝜋 → 𝜋 * , the transition of aromatic C-C bonds, which have numerous sp 2 bonds into the molecular mixtures [44]. The molecule absorbs the UV-vis light starting at the wavelength of 200 nm and begins to decline before attaining the peak at 220 nm.…”
