Grapevine growth and fruit development.

Abstract: This chapter reviews the growth cycle (including branching, flower initiation, fruit set, fruit development and berry maturation) of grapevine, along with factors (such as plant growth regulators, environment and climate) that influence it. The fact that the vine is a perennial plant means that management is quite different to that for annual crops, as well as there being unique aspects to cultivating young versus established vines.
