“…Record of Columbia supercontinental cycle related orogens worldwide includes CITZ, ADFB, SMB, and EGMB of India (Bhowmik et al, ; Mukhopadhyay et al, ; Roy & Prasad, ); North orogen of North China; Trans‐Hudson orogen; Penokean orogen; Taltson‐Thelon orogen of Canadian Shield; Trans‐Antarctic orogen of East Antarctica; and Capricorn orogen of Australia (Hou et al, , and references therein; Figure ). An overall apparent clockwise rotation of the continents after the Columbia phase gives the configuration of the Rodinia supercontinent in ~1.0–0.9 Ga. Imprints of Rodinia tectonics are well documented from the CITZ (Lippolt & Hautmann, ), ADFB (Bhowmik et al, ; Buick, Allen, Pandit, Rubatto, & Hermann, ; Deb, Thorpe, Krstic, Corfu, & Davis, ), EGMB (Chatterjee et al, ), CGGC (Chatterjee et al, ; Maji et al, ; Sanyal & Sengupta, ; present study), and SMGC (Chatterjee, Mazumdar, Bhattacharya, & Saikia, ) of India; Albany‐Fraser hills of Australia; Bunger Hills of East Antarctica (both referred in Harris, ); Yangtze Block of South China (Zhou, Yan, Kennedy, Li, & Ding, ); Grenville Province of Laurentia (Kalsbeek, Higgins, Jepsen, Frei, & Nutman, ); and Sunsas orogen and Putumayo orogen of Amazonia (Rizzotto, Hartmann, Santos, & Mcnaughton, ; Figure ).
