Abstract: Cassava mosaic disease (CMD) and cassava brown streak disease (CBSD) are endemic threats to cassava production, causing significant yield losses. They are caused respectively by begomoviruses and ipomoviruses that are transmitted by whiteflies and infected cuttings.
