Goldstini can give the Higgs a boost

Abstract: Supersymmetric collider phenomenology depends crucially on whether the lightest observable-sector supersymmetric particle (LOSP) decays, and if so, what the LOSP decay products are. For instance, in SUSY models where the gravitino is lighter than the LOSP, the LOSP decays to its superpartner and a longitudinal gravitino via supercurrent couplings. In this paper, we show that LOSP decays can be substantially modified when there are multiple sectors that break supersymmetry, where in addition to the gravitino th… Show more

“…A further variable which proves effective in separating QCD jets from ones due to the decay of heavy objects in both ATLAS and CMS analyses is the N-subjettiness [215,216,217]. The iterative k T algorithm [194,195] is used to re-cluster the original jet, successively recombining individual components until N sub-jets remain.…”

“…A cut on / E T > 50 GeV leaves quite a large number of expected events, with an efficiency generically larger than 50%. A more severe cut on the / E T reduces the signal 7 We have checked that the diphoton+ / E T ATLAS search [20] is not constraining the 3 sector benchmark models considered in this section. The main reason is that the / E T > 125 GeV cut is reducing the efficiency significantly, as can be seen from figure 12.…”

“…p T > 50 GeV, would strongly suppress the multi-photon signals, leaving only the two leading photons. 7 In order to examine the LHC sensitivity to multi-photon final states, we perform a minimal cut analysis and show the expected number of events, categorized in different / E T bins. We select three / E T bins: (0 − 50) GeV, (50 − 100) GeV and (100 − ∞) GeV.…”
