“…NF-κB, a primary regulator of inflammatory responses, plays a critical role in a variety of physiological and pathologic processes, and the NFkappa B signaling pathway is involved in both inflammation and oxidative stress and participates in the development of various metabolic diseases [34]. Recent studies have demonstrated that a highfat diet can affect peripheral tissues, and cause systematic inflammation by directly or indirectly activating the TLR4 and nuclear factor-kappa B NF-κB pathways [35,36]. Our transcription data obtained through KEGG pathway analysis indicated that the NF-kappa B signaling pathway was significantly inhibited by an EHF, and TLR4, the most pronounced hub gene according to both PPI and MDOCE analyses, was significantly downregulated in the EHF group.…”

“…based on this study, 2HF may serve as a promising drug for PCa therapy, which may not only inhibit androgen-AR signaling and induce PCa cell death, but also prevent cell migration and invasion during PCa metastasis. In addition, there are several nanodiamonds combined with plant compounds to improve their anticancer activity (28,29). The biotechnological application of nanomaterials associated with 2HF is another potential treatment strategy for PCa.…”

“…GQ poly (d,l-lactide-co-glycolide)-loaded gold nanoparticles precipitated with quercetin (GQ) restore the metabolic disorders caused by high-fat diet, which suppresses insulin resistance, lipid metabolic imbalance, and proinflammatory cytokine production. These prevent kidney injury by inhibition of TLR4/NF-κB and oxidative stress, further increasing superoxide dismutase activity [6].…”

“…Nicotine, a major toxic component of cigarette smoke, is responsible for smoking-mediated renal dysfunction [5]. High-fat diet-induced metabolic syndromes followed by chronic kidney disease caused by intestinal endotoxemia have received extensive attention [6] (Table 2 and Figures 4 and 5). …”
