Gold‐Catalyzed Allyl–Allyl Coupling

Abstract: Gold rings: Cationic gold(I) complexes efficiently catalyze the intramolecular allyl–allyl coupling of allyl acetates with allylstannanes with excellent stereoselectivity (see scheme). This reaction is mechanistically very different from that catalyzed by palladium.
