“…Therefore, our first aim was to identify patterns of goal management among patients with polyarthritis. Four longitudinal studies among diverse patient groups have found higher levels of various goal management strategies to be related to a higher quality of life and less depressive symptoms (Coffey, Gallagher, Desmond, Ryall, & Wegener, 2014;Darlington et al, 2007;Hall, Chipperfield, Heckhausen, & Perry, 2010;Thompson, Woodward, & Stanton, 2011).
