Abstract:The extracellular protein, reelin, which binds to ApoER2, VLDLR controls the positioning of radially migrating neurons and synaptic plasticity. During neurodevelopment activation of Go/i, a heterotrimeric G protein, facilitates the axon growth. Here we investigated the relationship between of Reelin signaling and Go/i during neurite formation of primary hippocampal neurons. In reeler, reelin‐deficient mice, neuritogenesis was significantly decreased. Inhibition of neuritogenesis in reeler was rescued by reelin… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
