Glycyrrhizin ameliorates impaired glucose metabolism and ovarian dysfunction in a polycystic ovary syndrome mouse model

Abstract: Objective: The aim of this study was to determine the impact of glycyrrhizin, an inhibitor of high mobility group box 1 (HMGB1), on glucose metabolic disorders and ovarian dysfunction in mice with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Methods: We generated a PCOS mouse model by using dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) plus high fat diet (HFD). 100 mg/kg glycyrrhizin was intraperitoneally injected into the PCOS mice and the effects on body weight, glucose tolerance, insulin sensitivity, estrous cycle, hor… Show more

“…Within this context, it is vital to consider many parameters, including the quantity of locusts, the frequency of repeats, the magnitude of characteristics, and the establishment of coefficients. In the suggested grasshopper evolutionary approach, the initial stage involves the creation of a random set [ 55 ]. The procedure of generating the random set involves representing the features in the selected subset with the value 1, while the characteristics not included in the selected set are represented with the value 0.…”

“…PCOS is one of the most prevalent endocrine and metabolic disorders in premenopausal women [ 50 , 51 ]. It is characterized by hyperandrogenism, which manifests as clinical features such as hirsutism, acne, alopecia, and seborrheic skin, as well as reduced ovulation resulting in menstrual dysfunction, decreased fertility, and endometrial hyperplasia [ 50 , 52 ].…”
