Gluon and Wilson loop TMDs for hadrons of spin ≤ 1

Abstract: In this paper we consider the parametrizations of gluon transverse momentum dependent (TMD) correlators in terms of TMD parton distribution functions (PDFs). These functions, referred to as TMDs, are defined as the Fourier transforms of hadronic matrix elements of nonlocal combinations of gluon fields. The nonlocality is bridged by gauge links, which have characteristic paths (future or past pointing), giving rise to a process dependence that breaks universality. For gluons, the specific correlator with one fu… Show more

“…If P 2 hT Q 2 , TMD factorization can be applied and the process is sensitive to TMDs [2]. If polarization is taken into account, several TMDs can be introduced [7,[9][10][11][12]. Attempts to extract some of them have already been presented in the past [13][14][15][16][17][18][19][20][21].…”

“…The notation here for f 1 , f 1LL and g 1 is the same as in Refs. [28,29], while δG(x) is named h 1T T in those works. The Mellin moments of this equation are related to the reduced matrix elements of local operators:…”

“…In addition, several spin-dependent gluon TMDs inside a spin-1 target that could persist in the small-x limit are identified in ref. [51]. It would be very interesting to test these theoretical expectations at RHIC, LHC or a future EIC.…”
