Abstract: Dengue fever, also known as breakbone fever, is a mosquito-borne tropical disease caused by the dengue virus (DENV), a flavivirus, spread by Aedes aegypti mosquito. Most people infected with dengue virus are asymptomatic or only have mild symptoms such as an uncomplicated fever.
