Global Trends of Lipid Metabolism Research in Epigenetics Field: A Bibliometric Analysis from 2012–2021

Abstract: Most common diseases are characterized by metabolic changes, among which lipid metabolism is a hotspot. Numerous studies have demonstrated a strong correlation between epigenetics and lipid metabolism. This study of publications on the epigenetics of lipid metabolism searched in the Web of Science Core Collection from 2012 to 2022, and a total of 3685 publications were retrieved. Much of our work focused on collecting the data of annual outputs, high-yielding countries and authors, vital journals, keywords and… Show more

“…In citation metrics, total document (TD) quantifies the number of documents, total citation (TC) shows the citations received for a document or author, h -index ( h number of documents with minimum h number of citations) and g -index ( g number of documents with minimum g 2 average citations) show the research achievements [ 61 ]. VOSviewer was used for scientific mapping, which maps the country coauthorship and keyword co-occurrence [ 46 , 62 ].…”

“…N 6 -methyladenosine (m 6 A) methylation, an emerging frontier in epigenetic research, involves the methylation at the N 6 position of adenine in RNA. It has been found to play a significant role in vascular aging and related diseases [5][6][7]. To better learn about the discovery and research history of m 6 A in these diseases, we review the timeline of m 6 A (Fig.…”
