Global research trends in petrochemical wastewater treatment from 2000 to 2021

Abstract: Petrochemical wastewater (PWW) is a huge industrial contaminant that generates a wide range of resistive and poisonous organic pollutants that harm animals and plants in natural water bodies when discharged untreated or partially treated. Therefore, it is vital to develop technologies that are simple, e cient, and pro table for the treatment of oily wastewater. Although, much study has been undertaken on the treatment of PWW, there hasn't been any recent work on bibliometrics analysis of global research trends… Show more

“…Population growth and rapid industrialization of societies are serious problems of pollution all over the world 1 . Soil and water are directly affected by the sewage of different sectors such as chemical, pharmaceutical, agricultural, food and petrochemical industries, which creates severe risks for the environment [2][3][4][5][6][7] . Among the newly emerging pollutants, we can mention the pharmaceutical residues that are constantly released in the hospital wastewater environment 8 .…”
