PurposeThis study aims to measure the global research landscape of the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) of India on a set of quantitative and qualitative metrics in terms of research output toward exploring research trends and give an overview of collaborative practices by researchers of NIPERs.Design/methodology/approachThe present study has selected the Scopus database as a tool to retrieve potential publications of studied NIPERs during the last 12 years (2010–2021). NIPER-Mohali, NIPER-Hyderabad, NIPER-Ahmedabad, NIPER-Guwahati and NIPER-Kolkata have been selected for the study. The study has adopted a comprehensive search strategy to extract 3,926 publications data. VOS viewer 1.6.17, BibExcel and Microsoft Excel were used for data analysis and visualization.FindingsThe global scientific research output of NIPERs accrued 3,926 publications with an average of 327 publications per year. The retrieved publications fetched a total of 67,772 citations with an average citation impact of 17.26. There observed a steady growth of publications from 168 to 509 registered with an average growth rate of 18.44%. The mean relative growth rate and doubling time of research output are 0.26 and 2.94. The authorship patterns explore collaborative trends as most of the publications were published by multiple authors (99.39%). NIPERs have expanded their outreach to collaborate with the USA, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Australia and the UK to collaborate on research and regulatory reforms exhibits in the USA as a major contributor.Originality/valueThe present study is the first effort to evaluate the global research productivity of NIPERs and assess the current research trends on a set of quantitative and qualitative metrics to provide some insights into the complex dynamics of research productivity. The study’s outcome may help to identify the current research progress of NIPERs at the global level.

This study employs bibliometric methods to measure the productivity of authors, organizations, and countries engaged in research on nonviolence according to preferred channels for dissemination, composition of collaborative teams, and overall research performance based on data drawn from the Elsevier Scopus database. The researchers identify three major developmental stages of nonviolence research over the course of three decades (1991–2021) and found that annual research productivity in nonviolence research has grown at a slow pace in stage 1 (1991–2000), at a moderate pace in stage 2 (2001–2010), and at a fast pace in stage 3 (2011–2021). Based on the keyword frequency and their co‐occurrence relationships, three major topical theme clusters emerged; the first theme cluster relates to religion and spirituality, the second theme cluster relates to nonviolence, peace, and conflict, and the third theme cluster relates to political tactics, law, and social movements. Authorship patterns in nonviolence research show a single authorship trend as most of the publications have been published by single authors (71.57%).

This study explores the decade‐long history of photocatalytic water treatment using a novel integration of the Delphi method and the preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta‐analyses approach, along with bibliometric analysis, to examine publication trends, author and country coauthorship networks, keyword co‐occurrence, citation analysis, and catalyst/contaminant evolution over time. The key findings include a steady increase in annual publications, a shift in dominant disciplines toward Environmental Sciences and Chemical Engineering, the role of specific authors in country productivity and citation rankings, and a growing need for international collaboration. TiO2‐ and TiO2‐based materials remain dominant, but a clear trend of abandonment in favor of novel materials is observed. Solar light is gaining importance for the photocatalytic elimination of aquatic pollutants, shifting simple organic compounds to priority substances. The evolution of this field is highlighted by tracing advancements in catalyst diversity and complexity, process optimization, and intensification. However, despite important milestone achievements, persistent knowledge gaps, discrepancies in comparability among studies, a lack of understanding of the fundamentals, and low funding incentives for transitioning to market hinder large‐scale applications. This study aims to provide a comprehensive guide for researchers by summarizing previous findings, unsuccessful approaches, and possibilities for improving photocatalytic applications.
