The integration of ICT into promotion activities in international markets where competition is intense may offer great advantages to the enterprises on the basis of brand and cost. From this point of view the objective of the current study is to empirically examine (i) the impact of the use of ICT in promotional activities on brand advantage and cost advantage and (ii) the impact of brand advantage and cost advantage on export performance. The data that were collected from 188 exporter companies from Turkey with the help of a structured questionnaire were statistically analyzed by using the SmartPLS 3.0 software. The results reveal that promotional activities using ICT have a strong and positive effect on brand advantage and low cost advantage, while there is no significant direct effect on export performance. The results also reveal that brand advantage and low cost advantage significantly affect export performance.

Practitioners and scholars point out that firms are increasingly dispersing their capabilities across organizational functions. However, it is not clear whether all forms of dispersion, of any function, result in the same consequences. This study initiates investigation into the link between the cross-functional dispersion of influence on export marketing decisions (export dispersion) and export performance. Drawing on data from a sample of 225 UK exporters, the findings support the argument that active participation of non-export functions in export-marketing decisions affects export success. However, those performance consequences are dependent on internal and external contingencies. Export dispersion is beneficial for export performance when the export customer environment is more turbulent and, simultaneously, the export technological environment is more stable and the firm has lower levels of export information sharing. In all other scenarios examined in this study, greater levels of concentration of export decision-making (i.e. lower levels of export dispersion) appear to be more beneficial for export performance. Our findings imply that the management of the firm's level of export dispersion is a complex task, whereby the degree of export dispersion pursued needs to match external environmental and internal firm factors.

The paper is devoted to estimation of impact of selected economic indicators (gross regional product per capita, foreign direct investment per capita, and the average monthly nominal wage of the regular employee) on export of goods per capita of regions of Ukraine. It is based on the data of State Statistics Service of Ukraine for 2010-2015. The prepared regression model confirms that all above-mentioned indicators have a positive impact on export trade activities at a regional level of the country. Though, the level of influence of the indicators on export of goods per capita is different. The results of the paper show that the impact of foreign direct investment on export activities was not statistically significant. Gross regional product positively affects this indicator. The lowest influence on the export of goods per capita is observed for the average monthly nominal wage of the regular employee. JEL classification:F10.
