Global-Local Contrast Enhancement

Abstract: Using global contrast enhancement, low contrast image can be improved in its quality globally. The enhanced output image, with such type of enhancement, may not have the noise and ringing artifacts. However, it may have over-exposure on some parts of the image and under-exposure on some other parts of the image when too high contrast gain occurs.
