Global isomorphism between the Lennard-Jones fluids and the Ising model

Abstract: The interpretation of the linear character of the observable classic rectilinear diameter law and the linear character of the Zeno-line (unit compressibility line Z=1) on the basis of global isomorphism between Ising model (lattice gas) and simple fluid is proposed. The correct definition of the limiting nontrivial Zeno state is given and its relation to the locus of the critical point is derived within this approach. We show that the liquid-vapor part of the phase diagram of the molecular fluids can be descri… Show more

“…In this paper the relation between the critical compressibility factors of the LJ-fluid and the lattice gas is obtained. We use the global isomorphism approach proposed in [14] and the results of [15]. We also obtain the value of Z c for the LJ-fluid in 2D and 3D cases.…”

“…Recently, simple geometrical formulation of the results on the Zeno line, the LRD and the triangle of liquid-gas states was proposed in [14] and developed in series of publications [15][16][17]. It is based on the fact that the lines of the phase equilibria determine the partitions for the space of thermodynamic states.…”
