Global Environmental Issue and Sustainable Development

Abstract: The problem of increasing anthropogenic pressure on the biosphere is considered in the framework of ideas about the carrying capacity of the ecosystem. The possibility of giving an exact definition of the carrying capacity is discussed, the concept of its one-dimensional projection is introduced, and examples of one-dimensional projections are given. In relation to the biosphere, they relate, in particular, to the limits of growth. The traditional definition of the concept “sustainable development” is criticiz… Show more

“…Second, the ability of the mind to consider an almost infinite number of interacting factors in the biosphere is also very limited [1,2]. It is impossible to replace the biotic regulation of the biosphere with regulation by the human mind (even with the help of artificial intelligence)humanity cannot ensure the processing of information flows of such a volume that is available to natural biota [3]. At present, due to the presence of a huge number of "soft" negative feedbacks, Nature's strategy without Mind, due to the principle of I. Prigozhin, leads to a minimum of destructive processes on the planet as a whole.…”

“…The study was based on the Legislative acts and policy documents on development of the digital sector of the economy in Russia and its regions, the provisions set out in the Strategy for the socio-economic development of the Chechen Republic until 2035, research materials on institutional development, the concept of sustainable development and environmental conservation [11][12][13][14][15][16]. Study conclusions regarding the institutional support of promising sectors of the regional economy are formed on the basis of generalizing the existing practices and theoretical views on formation of a new institutional framework of infrastructure in the digital economy of the region [17][18][19][20].…”

“…The flows of matter in environmental domain of subsurface management systems (Figure 1) include changing constitution of the atmospheric air (increase of CO2 [33], presence of gaseous [34], airborne and dust pollutions), transformed biological resources (vegetation and fauna), changed flows of biogenic elements [35], aquatic resources with levels of their pollution [36].…”
