Global Astrometric Solutions with Sparse Matrix Techniques

Abstract: Abstract. Modern astrometric techniques lead to large, linear systems solved by the precepts of least-squares. These systems are usually sparse, and one should take advantage of the sparsity to facilitate their solution.
