Global and exponential attractors for a Ginzburg-Landau model of superfluidity

Abstract: The long-time behavior of the solutions for a non-isothermal model in superuidity is investigated. The model describes the transition between the normal and the superuid phase in liquid 4He by means of a non-linear di erential system, where the concentration of the superuid phase satisfi a non-isothermal Ginzburg-Landau equation. This system, which turns out to be consistent with thermodynamical principles and whose well-posedness has been recently proved, has been shown to admit a Lyapunov functional. This al… Show more

“…Foreign jurisdictions were often reluctant to comply with the Champagne fair-wardens' demands. Some jurisdictions adumbrated reasons why compliance was impossible, claiming that it required an order from a higher authority (as in Malines in 1277 152 or Florence in 1279 153 ), or that the debtor had left town (as in Venice in 1299). 154 Others moved agonizingly slowly, with the London authorities putting the fair-wardens off for seven years between 1293 and 1300 155 and the Florentine authorities delaying them for four years between 1294 and 1298.…”

“…Berti and Fabrizio showed the well‐posedness of strong solutions when ψ 0 , A 0 ∈ H 1 , θ 0 ∈ L 2 , and n =3. The existence of maximal attractor and exponential attractor have been proved in Berti et al Fan and Ni proved the uniqueness of weak solutions when n =3. For recent studies, we refer to Fan et al and Fan and Zhou and references therein.…”

“…However, their proof also works here for . The long‐time behavior of strong solutions of the problem (1.1)– has been studied in , which proved existence of the global attractor which consists of the unstable manifold of the stationary solutions. And by exploiting semigroups theory, they also prove the existence of an exponential attractor of finite fractal dimension.…”
