Glass microchip with three-dimensional microchannel network for 2 × 2 parallel synthesis

Abstract: An integrated multireactor system for 2 x 2 parallel organic synthesis has been developed on a single glass microchip. Three-dimensional channel circuits in the chip were fabricated by laminating three glass plate layers. The fabrication method is a straightforward extension of the conventional one, and topological equivalence for any three-dimensional circuits can be constructed easily with it. 2 x 2 phase-transfer amide formation reactions, which constitute a simple model for combinatorial synthesis, were su… Show more

Stakla se općeni-to klasificiraju i nazivaju po svojem kemijskom sastavu, o čemu ovise i fizička i kemijska svojstva stakla.…”

“…Conversion of the diazonium salt of close to 100% was achieved with a residence time of starting materials of 2.3 s, while the conversion of 80% in maximum with the residence time of around 1 h for macroscale. The concept was extended to alkylation reactions [83] and amide formation reactions [84,85].…”

“…Kikutani et al [65] and Fletcher et al [66] carried out synthesis of organic chemicals in a reactor on a chip, where reactants were fl owing in parallel to one another, crossing in a complex and multileveled network. Kikutani et al [65] , using a phase transfer catalyst, prepared a small (2 × 2) library in a chip microreactor by reacting 3-nitrobenzoyl chloride and 3,5-dinitrobenzoyl chloride, each with dl -1-phenylethylamine and 4-amino-l -benzylpiperidine.…”
