“…There is educational value in having psychology students find or create their own class-related content. For example, rather than just passively watching instructor-chosen videos, students can actively co-create learning experiences with each other and the instructor by finding and sharing relevant content (Schmidt, 2016; Tyler et al, 2009). Such experiences create a learning environment in which students are actively involved in determining how class concepts connect to real-world content (Schmidt, 2016).…”

“…Multimedia can also be used to "encourage student participation in learning tasks and that appeal to multiple intelligences and learning styles" (Schrand, 2008, p. 80). Technologyassisted presentations (such as PowerPoint) and video (such as YouTube clips) are widely recognized as effective pedagogical techniques in management education (Tyler, Anderson, & Tyler, 2009). While presentations of this type provide an opportunity to easily create and integrate media-rich elements (such as audio and video), a deeper understanding of instructional design principles that also incorporate learning theories is needed to develop pedagogically sound materials that address different learning styles of an audience, and to effectively meet learner goals and outcomes.…”
