“…Gypsophila generally is grown as a protected crop, with night lighting supplied throughout the growth cycle during the winter to provide the longday (LD) conditions necessary for flowering (Shillo and Halevy, 1982). In addition, winter culture of 'Bristol Fairy' at high latitudes requires either heating the greenhouse to maintain night temperature (NT) at 11C (Shillo, 1985) or applying gibberellin (Shlomo et al, 1985) or benzylaminopurine (Doi et al, 1989) to ensure flowering.
