“…Coronary-cameral fistulae commonly originate from the RCA (55%), the left anterior descending artery (35%), or both. The most commonly involved chamber is the right ventricle (41%), followed by the right atrium (26%), and the left atrium and ventricle (3%-5%) [8] . Constant high blood flow through coronary arteries may lead to aneurysmal dilatation of arterioluminal coronary-cameral fistulae.…”

“…The size of the fistulae ranged from 4 mm to 22 mm, and fistulae most commonly were located in the posterior and inferior walls of the left ventricle; the fistula in our case was located in the posterior wall of the left ventricle. Due to the slow blood flow in aneurysms, CAAs may be associated with thrombosis; accordingly, thrombosis was reported in four cases [Li 2005;Zheng 2012;Uzuka 2018]. Huge aneurysm can compress the heart and cause dysplasia, and this was observed with one case of right ventricular hypoplasia (RVH) [Zhu 2016], one case of noncompaction of the ventricular myocardium (NVCM) [Jiang 2014], and other various cardiac changes, including aortic dilatation, aortic valve insufficiency [Li 2005], and mitral regurgitation [Sarasa 2015].…”

“…This study reported a patient whose right coronary artery (RCA) was wholly dilated, and who underwent surgical management with good prognosis. Fifteen previously reported cases of giant right CAA associated with coronary fistulae also were reviewed [Shizukuda 1989;Nakamura 1998;Li 2005;Wei 2011;Zheng 2012;Jiang 2014;Sarasa 2015;Li 2015;Detorakis 2015;Zhu 2016;Li 2017;Uzuka 2018;].…”

“…Adult cases with successful surgical procedures have been reported. [ 7 8 9 ] Among these cases, surgical treatment was the most widely used strategy for symptomatic patients, and it was performed to prevent complications such as extension, rupture, thrombosis, and coronary embolization. [ 5 ] In the recent years, with improvements in techniques, devices, and delivery systems, transcatheter CCAF closure has been applied in suitable pediatric cases, and extensive experience has been gained.…”
