Giant choledochal cyst in a 17 year old female at a teaching hospital in Uganda: A Case Report and review of literature

Abstract: Choledochal cyst is a rare congenital dilatation of the common bile duct usually symptomatic within the first year of life with rare presentation in adulthood. Herein, we present a 17-year-old female with type 1A choledochal cyst who was managed by surgical excision, hepatico-jejunostomy and jejunojejunostomy who recovered uneventfully.
