Giant cells in temporal artery biopsies are associated with a reduced risk of large vessel involvement in patients with giant cell arteritis : a retrospective cohort study

Abstract: Background: Giant cell arteritis (GCA) is a systemic disease with extensive vascular involvement. There is limited and conflicting information on the relation between patient characteristics at diagnosis and future disease phenotypes.
