Abstract: This article presents a clinical case of Gerstmann–Sträussler–Scheinker syndrome (GSS) – a progressive inherited prion disease with an extremely rare phenotype that changed dynamically during the course of the disease and eventually led to the misdiagnosis of a motor neurone disease.
