“…The Phanagorian regression that took place about 2500 years ago (Semikolennykh et al, 2018) may be a suitable time for it. Then the sea level fell by about 5 m, which led to the disappearance of the shallow parts of the Sea of Azov, including the Sivash channels (Ivanov et al, 2018;Mishchenko et al, 2018;Semikolennykh et al, 2018).
