Geometry Effects on the Concentration and Reaction Rate Profile in Methanol Production Catalyst. 1. Neglecting External Diffusion

Abstract: In the low-pressure synthesis of methanol from carbon oxides and hydrogen over copper-based catalysts, the effect of catalyst pellet geometry has been investigated. A model for studying reaction within any sufficiently symmetrical porous catalyst particle has been also provided.
