Abstract:Abstract. This work presents an accurate and efficient numerical tool for geometrically nonlinear thermoelastic analyses of thin-walled structures. The structure is discretized by an isogeometric solid-shell model avoiding the parameterization of finite rotations. An efficient modeling of thermal strains, temperature-dependent materials and general temperature profiles is proposed. Then, a generalized path-following method is developed for solving the discrete equations with the temperature amplifier as additi… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
