Abstract:The accretion and hauling of carbonates are used to identify, and interpret the soil formation processes in the soil profile. Predominantly, these soils types comprise over one-third of the worldâs land surface area. Generally, Calcareous soils are identified by the presence of calcium carbonate (CaCO3) in the parent material.
